My name is Pius Murray. Through my life, I've had several careers.
First, I am a first career librarian whose served as a library director at three libraries: (1.-2.) at the Greenfield Public Library and the West Springfield Public Library where my responsibilities included bringing the library up to meet Massachusetts state standards for public libraries for accreditation and receipt of state aid; and (3.) at the Pope St John XXIII National Seminary Library where my responsibilities included automating library services. After leaving the Library Directorship in West Springfield, I entered the Stigmatine Fathers and Brothers who sent me to study Sacred Scripture in Rome at the Pontifical Biblical Institute; this enabled me to teach undergraduate and graduate students at three institutions (Holy Apostles and Seminary; Pope St John XXIII National Library; and for me Pontifical Institute Regina Mundi in Rome). After leaving the Stigmatines, I was employed at the Boston University School of Theology Library and as a Librarian III in the Houston Public Library System. Since my return to New Hampshire in November 2012 to help take care of a sicj/elderly parent, I have keep busy serving on three municipal biards/commissions (as Commissioner/Secretary of the Somersworth Historic District Commission; Trustee of the Somersworth Public Library; and Commissioner/Secretary of the Somersworth Cultural Commission). Finally I serve as a Notary Public and Justice of the Peace in New Hampshire.
